installed avg free and zonealarm, both are free, but not sure if my computer will be safe or not? help?

AVG is an antivirus so the computer will be free from CURRENT viruses. Make sure you keep it updated.

Zonealarm is a firewall. It keeps programs from calling home... unless you ok them to use the internet.

Don't forget spyware and adware and other kinds of software you install in the computer.

The ONLY way to be safe is to stay off the internet. (kinda like the ONLY safe sex is NO sex)

AVG is JUNK. I recommend antivir free edition.
yes .. update and scan Avg and you will be protected.. maybe once a week or when you know something just isn't right..
think of it this way the free stuff is not going to have all the options enabled. i don't think you can have complete protection just remember if you don't recognize it don't open it!!!!
AVG is a poor antivirus and while zonealarm is good the two could conflict and cause problems on your computer. You would be better off to remove AVG and just use zonealarm.
